Title: LED Question.
Post by: kewlhotrod on June 30, 2009, 08:20:35 PM
What are those LED's called that are capable of being programmed into any color within the visible spectrum?

Preferably surface mount, 0603, of course.

Also, anyone got a link to some of those?

Yeah, basically RGB led's, but there's these kinds that I found a long time ago that had a mini microchip on them, allowing you to program the colors, how long they stay, etc. etc.

:eyebrow:, programmable.....  RGBs will give you a wide variety of colors depending on how you run them.  Never heard of the device you are talking about, and I seriously doubt it will be 0603 size.  the ones with circuitry usually just cycle through the colors, or flash the LED, but there is no user control.

If you find it let us know
