Title: gogovn2000's PSP Worklog
Post by: RoBot1ks on July 02, 2009, 05:03:20 PM: Hey guys I have most of the parts already here but am waiting on a few other parts.

This is what I'm doing:
Photofast 5400 and speaker with 10 blue sound reactive leds around it
dual nub w/razer x board (Keeping the powerboard)
white case with blue clear buttons and 4 white leds under each button pads
blue sound reactive leds L/R trigger
power/hold button blue led
memory/wifi button white led
usb charge mod

I am keeping the powerboard and I am not soldering wires to the zif connector. I will release the information behind that as I go along

Here are the first pictures for what I've done today:

For the powerboard, I took my dremel and cut off parts of each end. I tested it and it works flawlessly.

I cut out the hole and painted over the "hold" text on the faceplate. I still have to brush up on the paint a bit

It's just a regular phat analog I just dremelled it down to a circular piece. I will show you what it looks like apart

I'm still working on the dremel work on the case. As soon as I get that done and get the powerboard and nub placed I will take some pics on how I did it.

Btw with the hold text how you painted over it, couldn't you just use turps or something similar and just get a cloth and dip it into the turps and then rub it over the text until it comes off? The text is just paint/ink I'm pretty sure.

At first I tried bleach but then i took a q-tip and spray painted the end then wiped it on there

Post by: bustinthejustin on July 04, 2009, 01:01:34 PM: I think he means turpentine. I'm pretty sure turpentine can be used as a solvent to take off paint, so it should be able to take ink off too.
