Title: Prevent Rrod ??

I am opening my 360, and I want to prevent it getting Rrod.

I do not want to do the 12v fan mod, as it is quite loud.

What is the best possible thermal paste for the Gpu and CPU?

I may add a talismoon whisper fan.

Any other things to prevent rrod?

I am assuming the waranty is out of date? I would not remove the heat sink until I had to. add some fans and keep it clean.

if your going to get a fan i'd recomend a whisper max
its got a nitro button in case it gets really hot

Anything can Overheat really. PS3's overheat more often now i hear...

You can always do the 12 volt fan mod but add a potentiometer so you can controll it more.    :psp:

Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste is the best way to go, I would also do the duct mod as see here. I always thought water cooling was pretty expensive :/
