A few questions;

Have you tried changing the ISO driver on the XMB? changing it from the M33 driver to the Np9660 one can solve that problem.

Have to over clocked the cpu speed?

What games are hanging? is it on every game you try?

my psp has so many issues i'll start with my main problem..

when i took out the battery or drain the battery or full shutdown

my psp this appears...only waves appears...so what i do is go to

recovery menu then flash it...

that's my routine..and its a pain!

(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi271.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fjj153%2Fatomicareprise%2F2227527984_65dd7257a1.jpg&hash=8e924fb906ec8365abf2071749febc978e0e3aa6)

then my second issue is the one i mentioned above...

almost everything i tried fails..upgrade my cfw, dc8, etc...

nothing helps...what i'm suspecting is the umd switch...coz its not

like this before i had my umd drive..too bad i removed my

drive...don't have my umd drive no more...

so i'm hoping by removing the umd switch completely will help

in a way...what do you think guys?

You might be right. I had a very similer problem with my slim and phat. If you take out the umd drive and the switch on the mobo is pressed down, the psp will try and read a disk. But because there is no drive the console goes a little mad. Let me guess. when you turn it on, it takes like 1 or 2 minutes to load the XMB, when you access music or videos it takes longer than normal to load them up (thumb nail pic's, ect...).

Take out the switch. I just snapped the leaver off, after that, the console was working perfectly. However, if you ever wanted to use the UMD again, You'd have to replace that (I reckon that isn't going to happen anyway) :)

yup it took a while to load...

and definitely i don't have plans reviving my umd drive even if i have one lol...

so would that help if i totally remove my umd switch buddy??

no, you just need to make sure the clips on the zif connectors are closed all the way...

How would that make a difference? If you close it, theres still no drive there for the mobo to read. give it a go, but from my experience, even with the zif connectors fully closed, i still had the problem.

i agree...

the switch tells the psp if you load a umd in your drive then that's the time that the psp

will start looking for one...i don't think the zif has no connection with it...

and i dont have no umd drive to begin with in the first place..
