:angry: i went to the mall today and i :censored:ing lost my debit card FML NEVER LET YOUR BABY COUSIN PLAY WITH YOUR WALLET*mines is a small one so i let him*
can someone tell me what to do?
im calling wells fargo first thing in the morning
if theres a charge from the internet or a store can they track it down? PLZ I CANT LOOSE THE MONEY I HAVE, I NEED SCHOOL CLOTHES :( :cry2:

call up the bank immediately and ask them to block the card.
you should have done this asap actually so that you were not liable to pay for any extra billing but just hope that no one used it.....

i cant call right now my mom and dad are asleep and they have my ss number so yea :\ wait till the mornin
my sis works at the bank tho but idk if she works today

yea block that card asap, debit cards are like credit cards anyone can pick one up and use the details on it to buy stuff across the web.

u cant do anything if someone used it.... They are not liable if u didnt inform them when u lost it....
Just hope no one used it....

Is it chip and pin or just a swipe,like do you have to enter a card number and pin to make a payment?
Well first of all go to the bank and close that account,that account is no longer safe because somebodies probably skimmed the card by now.
Then make a new account!

chances are if someone used it before you reported it you will probably be out of pocket, as the bank is not liable if you did not inform them, and they have no way to prove YOU did not make the purchases.
if you own a debit card, you need to have the 800 phone number for the bank, and the card number else where incase this happens. it can be done ASAP adn is automated with some banks.
you need to know your SS number!!!

there are more honset people then dishonest people in the world. most people call the number on the back and report it lost for you. I have done this myself.
one more pice of advise, (no offence intended) they are going to ask you to verify charges on your account, dont get greedy here, it is a felony and you will loose all credibility if you deny a charge that was really yours. not saying you would do that, but it has been done before.

oh she askd about my charges also, i was honest :) last purchase i made was 6 dollars to payap

yea dude I was not occusing you of anything I hope you did not take it that way, depending on how thorough they look into it they could pull the video cameras which are now in most retail stores. they or talk to the salesperson.
you need to talk to your parents and learn your SS number. you need to know this number for obvious reasons it is the most important number in your like it will with you forever.

once my dad lost his card, and some one spent $1000 at a few different places.
we called the bank asap and they said thy would investigate.
it turns out the woman spen ome money at this little kids store and at a tatoo parlor.
the bank got us back all of our money within 2 weeks.
idk if wells fargo is good wih that stuff, but chevy chasebank is :D...well now its capital one, but watev.
just make sre you go on the phone with...actually, check your balance online to see if you een lost any money.

well i found out i got my money back for temporaly i guess and then my sis bf transfered 70 to my account for my bday present -.-
so i just told my sis to take everything out now i only have .36 cents now
