Title: need some help YLOD/blueray drive
Post by: lookkool3 on August 07, 2009, 12:40:34 PM: :help: ok so i bought a ps3 that had the YLOD and i fixed it but the blueray drive was mest up because we took it apart to get the game out them we put the whole ps3 back together and the ps3 keept thinking that there was still a game inside of the ps3 so i took it apart again and took apart the blueray drive mest with it till i figured out how everything worked and i figured it out i got all the little mechanism and wheels and little things inside of it worked properly so when everything worked i put it back together again and it took the game in (the first time it didn't take the game in cause the ps3 thought there was a game already in there) the game went in and came back out like normal when you hit the eject button but when i put the game in and wait for it to start it doesnt start the disc spins and everything but the laser doesnt start up

If the laser doesn't work you probably need a new laser or drive..

By the way, learn how to use a period. That was the hardest thing I've ever read. lol

Post by: Slim Hacker on August 08, 2009, 01:51:10 AM: lol kicks, I agree use a periods. And yes as kicks stated you need to buy a new Bluray laser for your playstation 3 console. If you need any help finding one tell me what modle you have and i can find one for you.

i also need the little sensor that is on top of the bluray drive. Its really small and has its own little chip lookin thing to its self. It lets the drive know that theres either a game in it or a game coming in. There you happy i used freaking periods! lol :victory:
