Title: COST FOR MODIFICATION:RIGHT ANALOGUE NUB-NEED MODDER IN THE U.S IF POSSIBLE!!!
Post by: Fishamon808 on August 10, 2009, 11:06:58 PM
Is there any trustworthy modder (preferably in the U.S) out there that would give me a quote on how much it would cost for installation of a right analogue nub and a charger mod? Also have other mods in mind...please reply back and i'll give the details.

60 - 70 $ probably + shipping.
Its a comparatively tough mod and a highly specialised one too so it is totally worth that amount.

Dude , just be careful to whom you send the console. I've not heard of this guy so i'm sorry but i can't recommend him. Send it only to someone who is a regular member and has been known to deliver. Also , any transaction which takes place is out of the jurisdiction of Acid Mods. Any problems you may have or in extreme case , if someone does not return your console , then Acid Mods cannot do anything. You have to settle your dispute with the modder directly. For this reason , i recommend only trusted members of the site.

I hope u were not offended by my comment, i was mobile when i saw this post and couldnt see you post count , i see that you have been around here for quite a while. Often new members will join up , have a single post or something and might scam ppl , we try to prevent that.

No hard feelings , buddy ? :D

@Fishamon808 - I take back my comment, contact FaT3oYCG , n if u feel comfortable with his service then you should go ahead with the deal.....

No hard feelings, I was just pointing out that I'm not some idiot that has just come to scam people. I'm really not that bothered if people use my services or not.

At the end of the day if someone wants me to do something for them then I will as long as they agree to the terms but I'm no worse off if they don't.

also just a little something to think about, you wouldnt have to ship a whole psp to get this mod dome only the faceplate and the powerboard.

You need to ship the Mobo too, USB mod ;)

And the whole idea of getting a MFH, is you shouldnt have to do anything extra....

i would say it doesnt matter who you get to mod your psp, but first ask for links to their work so you have a idea the things they have done. most people around are gonna do a good job as long as you dont take the cheepest deal from someone with a low post count. we have had problems with scammers, but no one who has posted in your thread are even close to scammers.

i would trust FaT3oYCG and jum8o but they have been around the block for a while.

MFH stand for modder for hirer. Yes USB mod is a simple mod simply used mostly when having dual analog that your requesting since your power output on the psp will be removed and thats when the USB mod comes into place to charge your psp from the PC. You ship at your nearest postal office i recommend them. There cheap and reliable.

lol, didnt see the usb bit but that is only one wire :p. or you can re route the power input somewhere else like someone previously asked me to (behind wifi has room but i put it next to the battery release button so the charger plugs in from the back :p) why do i never take pictures XD normally coz i cba and dont see the point ha ha.

i didnt know that with the dual nubs..you'll have to charge the psp through a computer with the usb mod..problem with that is i don't have computer :(...any other charging ideas for the psp as to keepin the dual nubs but still be able to charge it with an ac adapter?

lol i described in my above post that you can just re route the power plug to somewhere else like i did, it fits just above the battery release button which is a good place i think compared to having to use a usb cable or extending the wires.

I could convert a regular charger to have a USB port on the top for the PSP :P

yeah but that requires more work and doing it the way i said you can use the usb properly while charging but either method works fine, i guess it is just preference really.

i havent really taken any pics of my work as i have stated in other parts of this forum as up until now i havent needed to and could never be bothered anyway, if you want examples then i guess i could take a pic or two of the psp i am modding at the moment that has hold activated led's and blue power / green charge led's, i havent swapped the ms and wifi yet as the person im modding it for hasnt decided if they want them doing but i think it would be worth it, they might want other mods doing but they havent decided yet, oh and i swapped it to a clear case aswel :p.

~to fat~

how much would you charge me to do dual nubs, charger mod, clear case and all blue reactive leds for all buttons and leds for ms and wifi and power?
Title: Re: Cost For Modification:Right Analogue Nub
Post by: FaT3oYCG on August 30, 2009, 05:11:02 AM
well if i have to buy the parts then it would cost more but then you wouldnt have to ship as much so it would cost less there, the ammount of time that it took would depend entirley on how long things took to get posted to me though as i bought a clear analog nub the other week and it took 8 days to arrive but i have most of the stuff i would need.

it really depends on how many leds you want as the psp has buttons on the home bar, i count the analog nub as a button as i put an led in th nub if requested and you want dual nubs so there would be 2 and then all the face buttons and triggers.

lemme go price up how much it would cost me to do it for you and ill get back to you on the price asap, i usually price it up before i mod for someone so there will be no disagreements and i usually make a contract aswell.

EDIT:

About £60 GBP which converts roughly to $97.578 USD if i buy the parts that is.

oh and anyone i mod for pays postage both ways and it is up to you to pre arrange the postage back weather it would be paying me to pay for the postage on my end or pre paying and sending another postal bag in the main one.
