Title: Something weird with my Volume+- button
Post by: philippecr on August 19, 2009, 12:47:35 PM
This happens after i've removed my UMD drive without opening the front faceplate. (go through the back UMD door) Everything else works fine.

The + key is not working. But the '-' somehow become "+", and after i've pressed it, it will automatically bring my PSP to the loudest. The only way to get it back down is by using the wired remote.

I've tried change the Powerboard and the "Home, +,-....Select Start" control board. But still no luck.

Anybody can help me?

I've tried Format Flash1. No luck too.

Nop, I'm still on my original black faceplate.

I've tried replace the whole "Home - +..............Select Start" flex cable and make sure the connection to the powerboard is right.

It still doesn't works.

It could be your faceplate pressing on it. I had an issue with my psp like yours and it was because I had a wire running underneath the screen and it was making the screen not clip in fully making the home bar stick out which made the faceplate press on it when it was fully screwed in. Something similar could be happening with you. Try unscrewing it and turn your psp on and see if your volume is still playing up.
