UPDATED GUIDELINES
After talking to a few members , the general consensus is that a template will be a better idea for the mag.
What we are looking for is a cool template with a logo for the mag which should kind of blend in with the acidmods logo. A cool design around the borders etc.... (use ur creativity)
The design should be such that it is reusable , we can insert pics related to articles from that particular issue in it.....
As before , the size should be A4
YOU HAVE FIVE DAYS TO SUBMIT YOUR ENTRIES
The winner gets exclusive preview access to the mag...
when i say exclusive, i mean it (not even the blogs team has access to the articles ;) )
the winning entry will be chosen via a poll

the winner of this compitition will also have thier name listed in the credits of the mag, and a small print on the bottom of the cover is posible also.
I can personally throw in a xbox 360 rapid fire WAW chip to the winner. To sweeten the deal.

neither do i :) you see that thing at the top which says , acid mods - leaders in modding technology ? With the psp as a background and other consoles listed too... Thats the logo... modify it if you think something will look better. Just remember that it should be recognizable.

dude A4 is pretty damn huge, specially for a webmagazine

I think 4dP is right. It should be different every month. We should make a Main Title, like real magazines have that never changes. Like the AM logo on the top and the rest is some titles of articles and the big picture is the main article.

The competitions will be made bi-monthly seeing as that is when we plan to release subsequent magazines because of content quantity

can you give us more details? so the template is for the cover page only? how much are you wanting to fit (like 1 photo and text, or 40 photos and text)?

theres no way of fitting the logo onto A4, It will need to be recreated.

I rememered writing one about the eeprom being hacked in the psp slim or something, way before the slim was hacked. Im not sure if it was published though

it is supposed to be, has anyone completed anything? I really need ALL of the art team on board. its hard to have a competition if only one member participates.

oh btw, I am pretty sure we only have 4 Active Art Team members.

Luke is already helping me with art design for the mag... But i'm shocked that no one here is interested in helping out on this project :(
I've barely received any articles or any contributions towards the magazine. I truly believe that before complaining that the site is not progressing or that projects are being left mid-way one should think if they have contributed something towards it.
I am really disappointed....

there is so much going on with the site right now, its not the best time. but I think we need to relook at all member groups. this may posibly include removing all members and reassigning them as members signup, based on participation. I want to create a new member group for the acidmag. and for each of these main member groups I want a modorator for each group. and that modorator will be responcable for adding and removing members of that group.

double dutch submitt ypur templates to me or dhurv today. And we will close the competition. pm me your address also. lol its not much of a competition if only one member enters it.
dhurv please get with me so we can close the competition...this is disapointing...I also want to see a list of contributors to date. We are going to make some changes.

At the end of the day today, PST, let's hope there are submissions, otherwise we'll be making our own cover. This thread will be locked once the contest is over.

You do understand that A4 is ridiculously huge for an online magazine and completely pointless to use at that resolution?

maybe its fr quality reasons, who knows why they picked that size. I had to shrink it just a little bit so I can make something on Adobe Flash. Its just slightly resized. Adobe Flash has a limit of 2880 px. Well for what Im using. I may be using it wrong xD
I cant really do anything if i dont have the logo >:L

Theres no animation in magazines.

@Scot - Lower quality cannot be upscaled if need be. This way we can always downsize without loss of quality.

I couldnt agree more, but A4 is overkill for an online magazine.
Most peoples resolutions are still 1024X768

ok competition is over this month. I have entries from DD, the zap, scott 4dp. I saw one from luke and hsauce two days ago, I assume you have these Dhruv. lets get together this afternoon so we can put them together and create a poll so we can determine a winner.
