Title: Oh lawdy
Post by: PspKicks316 on August 31, 2009, 11:18:53 PM
I'm going for the first (of three) day of my driving school to get my permit. If all goes well, I'll have my permit on Thursday. =D
Then my license in March. Yayyyy.

I'm kinda nervous though. And I need to be up in 4 and a half hours (Start getting accustomed to getting up early since school starts soon)...

So, night guys. Wish me luck =O

I have had my learners for a while now, we can get it at 15 here.

Not sure how the licence system works there, but good luck.

I swear England is stupidly strict on driving. We have to wait until we're 17 to get our provsional license. The worse thing is soon it might be pushed up to 18.

Yeah my dads friend from america told me that the test in america is incredibly easy compared to the one in the UK

the reason the uk is so strict is because we have bendy roads so stupid teens who just pass there test go racing on our bendy and end up killing themselves and making insurance rediculously high for everyone else so the government trys to make it less of an issue by having a harder test and a higher age.

in the usa there roads are massive and strait there not bendy so a trained chimp could drive on them safely

p.s. good luck kicks

LOL Robin

I think Canada's driving test is pretty easy too... I heard to get your permit or w/e you don't even have to do any real driving... It's a written test. And you get that at 16. You get your license at 17, but I think if you take driving school you'll get it before then.

in florida, to get a permit you can do so at age 15, and it is just a written test. then when you get your lisense, at age 16 you must do a driven test, still easy. keep in mind this is all contingent upon school attendance. truincy and drop outs must wait until they are 18...it pays to stay in school.

I aced my written test. Once you pass the written test, you're eligible to go for your permit when you're 16, then after you have your permit for at least 6 months you can get your provisional license at 17.
Permit means you can drive with one adult who's had their license for a few years.
Provisional means you can drive on your own between certain hours.

wow, that sucks.

All we do.
At 16 take a easy quiz, get our license do 120 hours of driving (takes about a year at usual) , then you go one to your P Plates, where you can drive by yourself.

Its easy to drive my truck and not have to deal with people, I just slam my drag blocks on the pavment at 60 mph and let the sparks roll! People back off real quick

its a bit different here in CT, all youhave to do for your permit is a 25 question test. then either wait a year, or take drivers ED for 6 months to get your licence

and with your permit, you can drive with any other licenced driver over the age of 18.

and that provisional thing you talk of is just the whole teenage-curfew thing.

but yeah, i have at least another month till my parents will let me get my permit. all depends on how my grades go for the first quarter of school.

"If you can drive in India, you shouldn't be allowed to drive anywhere else!"

I got mine at 15, lmao...I could have gotten my license at 16 but my parents said no, x.x...Probably won't have it before 18 either though
