Depends.

Where you plan on putting it?

BTW this should be in the PSP Slim section. Could a mod move pl0x?

Ahh ok.

Yeah, should work. Won't be able to have the UMD drive in if you want the speaker to sit inside the bay or be flush with the door.

I would use the LM386N with 100 uf. There some threads around here some where with examples of people doing that way including myself.

Well, I'd suggest you look up on it.

Another couple alternatives would be to connect it directly to where you connect the speakers. It will boost overall volume, but not by too much. Then there's using an actual sound amp, sorta like what you'd find in small portable amplified speakers.

I always just hook it up directly to the speaker and it works very well. I tried wiring a LM386+cap but the sound is very bad.

Thats why you have to 100uf so it wont sound bad theres TUTs on that as well.

I did use a 100uF 10v, it still sounded the same without it.

Yea shouldnt be that hard to save like 15 bucks i believe. You can probably find on cheap at wal mart or home depot most ppl get there at radioshack but what ever works i guess.

It's only $7.99 for the 15 Watt Soldering Iron, $4 for solder, and a few more dollars for some extra stuff you may need at radioshack.
