Title: iTunes failing!!!! HELP
Post by: PhenomenalDesigns on September 07, 2009, 12:00:33 PM
I posted here because the PC software gets like 1 view a month, my itunes has messed itself up, when I start it up, it comes up with a "Send Error Report" error (Thing is, if you send it does anything actually happen?)

My Specs are:
Phenom X4 9950 2.6Ghz
4GB DDR2 corsair something
500GB SATA2 WD blue HDD
4870 silent
460W psu

and 32bit Windows XP

I have tried EVERYTHING, apart from formatting, but I don't want to format just because itunes. By everything, i mean I have tried reinstalling it, uninstalling it, removing every trace of it (Registry included), then installing it, installing older versions, installing quicktime then itunes. But no luck. Thing is hundreds have had this error, and the fixes they have had, I have tried and don't work, and some people just say that they fixed it without saying how, which is quite annoying

Ive been trying to figure it out for like 3 days now, its getting stupid now, im stuck using songbird, and to be honest I hate it

Use Winamp if you can't get it.
Winamp is better than iTunes and it also has iPod sync support to use your iPod.

MediaMonkey is even better ! I use a combo of songbird and MM ... Songbird looks like itunes yet is MUCH better and MM has great iPod sync support. But if you has DRM'd songs then u r screwed....

I dont have an ipod, i just used itunes so that I can show what im playing on MSN

Also the fact that it ran really smooth on my pc, with media flow, it wouldn't lag at all with all my 600 albums flying across, with songbird, the cpu footprint is very high some reason, and with media flow, it fails tbh, since I usually navigate with media flow, i cant with songbird (Lags so much)
