Post by: RazorX on September 09, 2009, 04:45:13 AM
Hi Everyone Ive Been Reading All The Posts Concerning The PSP HDD Subject And Im Very Interested In Doing Something Like This So Ive Been Looking Around A Favourite Site Of Mine And I Came Across This..

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.27441 (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.27441)

Do You Think This Would Work If You Can Install usbhostfs-PC Linux On It..

If It Will I Think It Would Be A Very Cool Thing To Have And You May Be Able To Strip It Down If You Want To Make It Smaller But You Would Have To Look Into That..

Hope I Get A Reply About The Subject, Thanks.

i dont know if that will work, but people have figured out how to do it already. its just not practical since the transfer rates are so SLOW.

that player you linked to just looks like a cheap off-brand version of the archos.

archos just lets you transfer stuff back and forth it doesn't let you use it all at once.  I don't know why you would get something like that for that price.  There's lots of MIDs or UMPCs out there for about or a little bit more then that price and they have more storage (like 60gb).  Try looking for something different with more memory.  Even if it's 20gb it's still better then1gb. Plus you can probably upgrade it later because most MIDs and UMPCs use 1.8 zif hard drives.  You can get a 120gb hard drive for about ~$70 now a days.
