Title: my fixie
Post by: Tec_ on September 16, 2009, 02:45:22 AM
FIXIE:A bicycle lacking a freewheel mechanism in the rear hub. That is the crank set and rear wheel are completely dependent of one another. To propel forward or backwards the pedals must be moving.

so it started out as a schwinn men's traveler III and has been turned in to my favorite short distance bike.

as you can see the black ugly uncomfortable saddle had to go. so i found a white one and i was impressed with how it looked

(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi177.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fw240%2Ftec_in_the_making%2FIMG_1128.jpg&hash=300eb90d31e6fe195397f938d6f07bb9d6a01a58)

so on Monday before work i went out and picked up some white pedals and some white bar tape. you may not know it but i work 2nd shift so that means 2pm to 1am. i was so excited when i got home that i put on the pedals and the bare tape and took it for a spin at 3am snapped the pic on a local bridge over a freeway

and one this past morning in the day light

thats nice, i have a 27 inch, that i want to convert. i would call it a track bike, becouse its the kind of bike you wouldnt ride to the next city but like you said short distances. saves on gas also.
