Very Nice mod. Please tell me where you buy DIP switches and how you wired them. I really want to swithc between two colors and have them both on at the same time. Do both of your transistors connect to the same 5v spot at the bottom left? Where the cheapest place to buy the transistors? What song is at 2:08?Dip Switches I buy off eBay, they are about 7$ for 20 2pin if you are lucky enough to find them,
you can get those transitors at radio shack i got some from there beforeYou can get a blue ring on focalprice I think. I think the transistor helps make the LED react better to the sound.

but ebay is a way better deal
where did you get the blue ring for the back of the psp and the blue triggers?
this might seem like a stupid question but whats the point of haveing a transistor on there what does it do or help?
I saw that EXACT PSP on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Clear-PSP-slim-2000-16-Sound-Reactive-LEDs_W0QQitemZ270465122066QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games?hash=item3ef8fa3f12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 (http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-Clear-PSP-slim-2000-16-Sound-Reactive-LEDs_W0QQitemZ270465122066QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games?hash=item3ef8fa3f12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14) So, to make sound reactive LED's, you just solder to the positive and negative points on the speakers and solder that with 30 AWG Kynar wire to the negative and positive point on the LED?
ok thx psp 339
masta psp what size leds did you use ?
you can get those transitors at radio shack i got some from there beforeIt acts as a switch, There is not enough power on the psp slim to run the LED's of the speakers, it works but not well.

Where do you put the right transistor?Fits by spring, MAKE SURE NO WIRES CAN TOUCH THE SCREEN AND GROUND OUT THE LIGHTS,
did somebody really pay you 399?yes, had to give them free shipping,
how do you check the market? The market is just the price people are willing to pay for this kind of PSP.
I think the transistor helps make the LED react better to the sound.your wrong dude it makes more power for the lights check this out and it'll make sense
yeah i know thats how i "check the market" the way you explained but i just look for place you can buy a certain thing and compare prices to get any idea of how much its worthThe transistor does not put out 40v. Thats just the max volts it will take I think.
masta psp could you point out which parts are positive and negative cause this whole thing doesnt make any sense to me i think it'll just break the psp somehow
nevermind i looked up the purpose of a transistor and i get it now but how many volts come off of everything and whats positive and negative on everything?
ok nevermind that, theres 40 volts comeing off the trasistor and each led needs 2 point something volts so you could actually have 20 lights for each speaker but you used a ressitor
and you said you didn't use one for the red or blue leds i dont remmeber which one you said but it shut off on you because you had 5 volts hitting each led which should have been bad right?
your wrong dude it makes more power for the lights check this out and it'll make sense

i think your right but then how much does it put out or recive man this stuff is pissing me off any way masta psp can you straighten this stuff out real quickNo, You got that backwards.
and can you let me know if this is right or backwards

Do you use a dremel to cut the hole for the DIP switch?

ok so this whole setup you have shown everyone is AC and not DCThe PSP 3000 is almost the same. Just add LEDs the same way as 2000.
well im going to try this with a psp 2000 as soon as my leds and switchs arrive thanks for the help mastapsp
BTW do you think you could help me put some leds on a psp 3000?
