Title: Xbox controller

I got a spare xbox controller today and I'm painting it right now.  I'll post results when done.

it's blue primary and white  secondary :hifive:

Status update:  Everything is coming along fine.  I have already washed, sanded, rewashed, and painted everything the colors I wanted.  IT LOOKS GREAT SO FAR!  I'm currently in the process of applying my 3rd coat of clear.  I'm going to apply 7 of them just to make sure.  I'm going to let it dry overnight and part of the day tomorrow just to be sure I don't get smudges.

I got this controller at a garage sale for $20 and I figured since I have a black elite I might as while paint the white controller.

Status Update #2: Okay I have finished spraying my 7th and final clear coat.  All that's left is to let it dry for 24hrs.  I have to go do dishes right now but maybe I'll take pictures after they are done.  It all depends on if people are interested.

Looking good! :tup: but is it just the lighting, or do they white pieces actually have a yellow-ish tint?


Also, the general mod-off just finished, which was for all consoles and anything related to a console. The controller mod-off hasn't even started, and it's strictly for xbox 360 controllers only.

the white pieces do a little yellowish tint but the lighting makes it look a lot worse.  It's not THAT yellow but it's okay.  I have the controller already reassembled and working.   I had to scrape some paint off of the posts inside the controller so I could put everything back together.  I looks GREAT!  Anyways I'm lazy right now and I'll take pictures later.

Auto paint is the way to go.  Auto paint at a low temp baked so you dont shrink the plastic. It has to bake for 1 hr at 100 degrees. NO MORE NO LESS THAN 100 DEGREES.The paint molecules will bond to the plastic.  I work for DuPont I know paint,
