Title: trimming/cutting the curcit board

how?!?!

what should I use to cut it? and how do I reconnect it?

Also, is this how I recconect stuff?

board gets cut.

wire is soldered to both severed ends renewing the connection

Is that how that works? or no?

yup

cut n jump

you can use a dremel tool or a band saw or a jig saw to cut... if ur not into the whole power tool thing you can check out a jewelers saw or handheld jig saw.

copper.... lol   

lots of people use 30awg

I prefer 28Awg

the insulation is all preference, go with whats cheap.  MIL spec requires teflon so thats what we have at work, but its very expensive, hard to strip, but doesnt melt.
