Title: PSP Fat 6.10 installing CFW ?'s

I have a PSP Fat that I just got from my friend for free. It has firmware 6.10. Is there a way I can put CFW on it without a pandora battery or will I need to get one? Also, this is my first PSP I've gotten. :help: :beg:

Acidmods isnt a place for softmods.
Try pspiso.
Also; No, I don't beleive there is a way to put CFW on it, without a pandora.
Im actually not even sure a pandora will work.

panora willl work on any firmware on psp phat. I dont no if softmods will work on that firmware though

Lol u guys it works on both psp phat and slim. It only doesnt wrk on psp go and psp3000. And btw i really dnt think firmware 6.10 exists, if it is 5.10 then u can use our good old friend pandy.

6.10 does exist and pandora will work for you but that is the only way at the moment but i wouldnt be hoping for another method any time soon.

probably still need a pandora for 5.50 too huh? ive been avoiding updating since everyone thought they would be close to a chickhen type downgrader thingy for 5.50. plus i havent really seen any worthwhile new features in the new firmwares.

yeah you do and there isnt any new chickhen yet, although there is a way to run custom code in the later firmwares by using a game that was show on the psp go i dont know how that would translate to a psp 1000 or 2000 but I am sure it is possible, also i think that Dark~AleX may release a custom firmware for the PSP Go and with that release a new method of downgrading from newer firmwares, I thin that he wil be waiting for sony to sort out the new electronic gaming system before he releases a hacked version of it.

Could CFW be installed on a PSP 2000 with the 6.10 OFW if it doesn't have a TA-088 v3 Motherboard?

Yup, any firmware can be Pandora'd to CFW as long as the mobo will support Pandora.  I'm not sure if ChickHEN will work though, I think that is only up to 5.03.
