ok so heres the story of my life with 360s. i got my main 360 wich is flashed and I play it constantly. but about a wile into my game my 360 seems to restart. if thats not annoying enough when I star playing again it does it again and like the third or forth time it restarts but this time the blinking light stays on like if its ejecting. I turn it off for like a day and then it works again but it eventually repeats the process. now everything in my mind pointed to a bad drive which I took the liberty to switch it and still does the same crap. now my patience is not the best known in the universe so Im about to kick it and have fun destroying it instead of playing it. I just wanted to know is there anything I can do to solve this problem?
ps. if it even matters my drive is a samsung ms 28.

anyone have any ideas here? Im desperate.
-
wow, never even heard of anything like this... sounded liek the beginning of the open tray error, but you said you switched drives.
Are you able to try this without a modded drive?
Have you considered that maybe the Power Supply is crapping out momentarily? try a diff one just for giggles.
-
I agree with chad. two things i can suggest...
1. check the power brick it sounds like it took a surge.
2. try to replace the drive belt for the drive, the drive belt pulls the drive shut and raises the lazer to the disk, the belt may be slipping and not pulling it up all the way.
very odd

Haha
This is an easy fix homie.....Try swapping out your dvd power cable. If not try reversing how it's hooked up..
I have run into several customer repairs that had this problem.
It's not the power brick or bad dvd...More than likely it's your cable.
All your suggestions are way off....Good try tho...

wow I guess 6 years of college and 3 electrical degrees was a complete waste of time....
Its called trouble shooting and your are what i call pompus and arrogant. we clearly stated that we did not know and gave him the first steps to figure out what his problem is.
you think that the DVD drive works if you hook the power cable up backwards? nice try tho
OP: if you hacked into your drive cable for power like for a fan that is probably your issue.
Whofarted: I dont care for your attitude around here... it seems you may be knowledgable, however i have no problem getting rid of you if you dont respect our staff and members... probably the same reason why you left wherever you came from.
-
who farted this is not the first time you have been warned for that attitude of yours. I personally dont think you know all you state and these outlandish boastful coments about how youve fixed hundreds of these xboxes is BS I dont buy it for a moment. as chad said we dont have a problem getting rid of you if you cant change this attitude. your going to feel like a duche when he has apower problem.

Roflnoob.
first off:
the power cable AND SATA cables are reversible, meaning you can use them either way, it doesn't matter whatsoever.
second:
A power cable is less than a .01% possibility, unless you enjoy pulling on them for some reason
third:
you still haven't showed us any proof that you have helped one single person on the face of the earth.

It would make it easier if showed proof of what ever comes out of your mouth instead of being stuck up and disrespecting people when you could use a different approach. The admins are doing what they been doing for many years they know there stuff and making them sound like a joke instead of giving your side of the story of what in a more nicely manner is not hard to do. With electronics yea it may sound like what you did for others as you say but unwanted thing always a cure with electronics and isn't always the same as the most common ones.

wow I loose internet for one week and all hell breaks loose on my thread?
I will try all your suggestions thanx and Ill let you know if any work and sorry for the delay.

Wow, you guys did say there were flamers here, lol. Thats the first one I've seen. ok then. As far as your box bro, I have no clue. Sometimes I don't get sound, but I posted that in another thread.

Good need to have his mom teach him how to speak again he simply doesnt know how to. But yea as for the 360 idk.
-
dont think he was banned? he just got the hint.
-
Lol I didn't get "banned" and I didn't catch the "hint"
I've just been busy with my business. I have over 20 units to repair so it's kinda crazy..
I'm still pretty sure it's involved in the sata or power cable. I only know this because I had a repair that kept rebooting at once it got to the dash over and over and I remember taking the sata and power cable and flipping them around and it worked perfectly..
Don't know why, I just know it worked. I didn't claim to know the exact reason why it worked but it did.
No, I don't need to show any proof. I'm not an uber geek on the net having to show my work.
-
He is right, he is not required to show proof of his work, however, He still seems like he has an attitude. Either way, He may be right, but personally I t, hink He has a right to his opinion. Either way, Farted, bro, relax it dwn a bit. Also, It's no way that reversing the power cable or sata cable will work, they both do the same thing reversed as they do now with PSN. Whatever, <not a ps3 fan...>
-
my opinion is to change the drive cables and then see if it would be resolved.
