Title: Question about sound reactive LED MOD

hey im followign that mod i want to use 4 leds 2 in buttons and 2 in triggers how do i go about doing this and will i need resistors im using blue.. Cheers

also is that the best way to do it as i have lm386 chips

Post by: Blazinkaos on October 24, 2009, 01:00:17 PM: Thats is direct connect it works but your leds arnt as bright compared to hooking up the lm386 witch is a amp for the speakers and gives off power not only to the speaker but the leds keeping your leds bright and not dimming out. It very simple to do just need the lm386 witch you have and 2 resistors 30k ohm and 191 k ohm (could have to resistors to make 191k if not found at your local electronics store). Umm you need 30 gauge kynar wire. There are schismatics on how its all hooked up ill search for it for you unless someone else beats me to it. But for now that something to keep in mind on what you need.

They are a little bigger than 0603 LED's, so they are humanly possible to solder, but they are small enough to fit in the triggers if you drill big enough a hole.There's not much of a difference in brightness between the two types.

I just ordered 15 blue 0803 LEDS from phenoptix, so it shouldnt be too hard.

Can you tell me if u used a lm386 here or just direct contact?
