Well, I used to have an 01 Mercury Cougar, but I flipped it while drifting...I took the edge of the road a little too close and ended up upside down in a ditch. and now I have a 2005 Scion Tc which I will be working on when I get back from Iraq the next time. pics:
My old car:

where is the shift???
nice car, bad automatic
-
cool looking car !
-
thanks guys.
@deda, Dude, I wish I could have gotten a stick. 2 reasons I didn't:
1-my wife can't drive stick and...
2-in my price range my only choice for a stick was a gay light sky blue.
-
gay blue, thats a good one:P
we learn to drive with a stick over here, its pretty cool but sometimes really sucks because i learned to drive rally before i got my licence so sometimes i let the car drift without i wanted it.
life start after 5000rpm, trust me:P
-
Life doesn't start till 12k rpms dude, ask any street biker =P
-
oh yeah well i live my life one quarter mile at a time
-
Hehe, I say just have fun. y car will do for now, til I get back, like I said, lol
-
i love tuning engines....good god i need a new car im going mental here
-
stop driving them tiny european cars and get into a strong american, or fast japanese car! My car has a 2.4 ltr VVTi4 btw.
-
i love tuning engines....good god i need a new car im going mental here
You could always just... buy one. Lol rich.
-
i dont think you want to race againt my 1.6 liter because you will loose, trust me on that.
i dont want to drive 5 km on one liter that is jsut plain stupid.
-
well, if you were to get a camaro ss per say... you could get about 22 miles per gallon, or roughly 37km per gallon(not sure miles to km conversion, but the mile is longer :) )and still kick ass up and down the street!
-
well for now i have a audi A3 1.6 liter from my uncle that i can use for like 5 months for free and after that buy it for like nothing:P
allready chiptuned it and changed the air filter and a new spark controller so it can spark faster and go faster (i dont wanna exlain...lol)
and.........IT HAS A STICK SHIFT:P
-
1.6 km = 1 Mile.
I think (not sure) that he does it in miles instead of kilometers. And European cars are awesome, we can go around corners without under-steering into a tree. But we have tight bendy roads. Whilst you have...
But for off the line speed, muscle ftw.
Oh, and nice car, Wish I was of age to drive :(
-
22 december im getting my lincence.
legal drving finally....lol
well its nice to drift trough a corner and it aint that hard to do really, if you know how to us the clutch.
usa card are pretty nice but just not for me, we have a lot more density of traffic over here and we dont need 400hp to get grocery's really. its just stupid that evrything has to be bigger/faster/stroger.
120hp is more than enough to pull a decent mobile home on bigass mountains, if you dont do that stuff 70 or 80 is fione to.
70 is more than enough.
i got like 150 and that is MORE than enough for a light car like this, if you get more its hard to shift and steer trough corners.
-
the bigger the better. 426 hemi ftw
-
H american sporty cars have changed their view on corners now.
american cars like the viper acr, caddillac cts-v and corvette zr1 can do what and more than euro cars.
however i still like old school
and life starts here when u start up teh engine

and just because i like to hijack threads

70 Double Blown GTO (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkrgyfjJg3s#normal)
-
yeh bud awsome, allways wanted a big engine in front of my sight......gah
you dont guys need to defend yourself jezus christ!
im just saing you dont need 500hp to do the groceries!!!!
:censored:ing hell!
-
I know the ZO6 went round corners well. I admit that last statement was slighted the exaggerated. But you gotta admit, when it comes to handling, the Europeans own. Like you guys, with your amazing off the line speeds which give sheer terror. It's what is suited to your environment. We have tight bendy B roads, and you have loads of highways. Although I don't get the lack of manuals. Apart from 4x4s and some little hatchbacks, there mainly full manuals or semi auto.
-
deda that double blow gto isnt for grocery's its for show and drag. and so what maby i wanna haul ass to get some grocery's. makes life all the more fun
and H i know what u mean. but the cars i mentioned can out maneuver alot of yalls cars if not all.
how ever my friends boss has the experimental lambo reventon and is twice as powerful as anylambo u have ever seen. its ridiculous
-
Reventon is awesome. Cars like my dad, practical as hell yet enough to change the colour of your underwear. Super Salloons ftw!
-
hmmm...now that we're on the topic of cars. Quick question.... Are cars like lamborghinis something which many people able to buy in Europe and the usa or is it a very niche market..:)
-
lambos and ferraris etc are pretty niche in europe especially at the minute
-
i personally am an American muscle and German Sports Car fan. Ive got a '91 Mustang GT with a 2001 GT40 Crate Motor with about 12k in motor and suspension work. And my main car is my Volkswagen .:R32 3.2L VR6 All-Wheel Drive, 6-Speed 4Motion Standard with Hydraulic Clutch, Blueflame FULL exhaust, EIP Tuning Ram Air Intake, coilover aftermarket suspension, Neuspeed Adjustible Sway Bars Front and Rear, Neuspeed Strut Tower Brace. Short Throw Shifter, Lower Transmission Mounts, Slotted Disc Brakes Front and Rear, FLIK Gunmetal Grey Lightweight Rims with TOYO PROXY tires, and a few other misc. parts here and there.
Ohh and you cant forget the Toby Sub powered by a Kicker Competition XS50 Amp! :#1:

props burn

thx bro! :drunk:

i came so close the other day to talking my dad into getting me a 1972 Buick skylark in damn good condition for 2500. i still woulda tore apart the engine and rebuild but that was it of what i saw. interior was good. side panels and trunk was good. the guy had the title in hand. says it ran great. couldnt be certain of that one tho.
was a shame. it had a 454 big block or somethin liek that
-
hay, I know someone that has a 700hp grocery getter. he puts over 100,000 miles a year on it. It just happens to be a blown 57 chevy
-
i just got a letter from the department of driving, i can egt a drifting course for 220 euro...wtf lol
you guys ever had something like that?
i dont need a drifting course i can allready do it
-
I agree with budgray. We may wan't to haul ass to and from the grocery store, lol. but Americans naturally just like fast cars. It's in our blood. Part of our history. Whilst no, you may not need 500 horse to go shopping, you may want it tho, hence the beauty of being American and enjoying one of many freedoms.
I am not knocking European cars, as Europeans have some of the best quality cars in the world, I just prefer a bigger engine. I do like the new mini coopers tho! Bmw is one of my favorites, Mercedes I can live without. You know?
I do love Japanese cars, they are great on fuel, and can be tuned easily to achieve great speeds. They handle well, and they will run for a veerrrryyyy long time. Also, they are cheap, and affordable.
Pasta Rockets. Everybody loves Italian cars. Lamborghini, Ferrari, I mean, they are just plain sexy. But, way out of most everybody's price range. Only about 30% of people on the planet can afford those cars, ahhh, sweet rides. We all dream about them.
@ Deda, I'm sure in Europe it's a little easier to drive withought a lisence than it is here, lol. I used to get caught damn near every time! (Mostly cause I was speeding) But we have more people and therefore more police in a smaller area than most European countries, so it makes it hard on us to get away with stuff like that, lol.
@ Blackburn, I saw the pics of your R32, Absolutely beautifull. I had a guy in my unit had a red one, pro-charged and everything. He was destroying mustangs, lol.
BTW, my Scion only has 160 horse at the wheels. it is completely stock. It's good for now, until I come back from Iraq with that warzone pay and supercharge it!
Anywhoo, every country makes their vehicle according to their terrain. So the which car is better makes no sense. A car is a car. A true car enthusiast will tell you, if its pleasing to the eye, and pleasing to drive, it's a great car.
-
its harder over here, every road had his own security camera's and you will allways see patrol cars evrywhere over here.
i do also like aerican cars but i dont like the fact its so noisy and it got loads of hp but no torq.
and dont get me started about freedom, i europe is democratic to so that is just BS if you ask me.
i do not want to start a flame war or any such of that kind, it's just that we all have our own things.
dont supercharge a 140hp car, it wont work that well.
buy a audi A3 with a stick and ill hep you to tune it for only a little bit of money.
it will destroy mustangs,trust me.

if your going to get an A3 just spend a little more and get the A4 and upgarde the turbo and put an aftermarket blow off valve and your set!
-
A3 does the job also...i just like the fact you can tune it like hell and let it look verry sleek.
atm there are more parts for the A3 atm.
-
I love Audi's! Deda, bro, I think you misunderstood my post bro. I know it's hard to see expressions thru text so I'm going to clarify. I wasn't bashing Europe or European cars. I have utmost respect for everybody, My post was just an explanation of my view on vehicles. I love all cars, no matter how small or big, how fast or slow. I was simply stating that european cars are built for european roads and american cars are built for american roads. Thats all. Lol, I ain't trying to start a flame war either. We are both car enthusiasts, just we both lean towards a different type of vehicle! I really mostly prefer Japanese cars. but I love german cars, and italian cars, lol. I love ALL cars really. There is nothing like gripping the wheel and just flowing with the road. I feel so free when I'm driving!
-
thats nice to hear dude, im just a bit confused atm with all the things happening at home, im sorry.
i love cars, its my life really.
were used to other cars thats all. i've been to the usa for 4 weeks, i loved the cars but was glad i was back in the netherlands. its just so different.
i will never tart a flame war with u, i like your attitude.
btw, when you are going to iraque why dont drop by my house:P
-
I would drop by, but can't. When we fly, we stop off at designated locations only, and we can't leave the airport. I would tho.
-
if anyone is ever in the netherlands, contact me and ill arrange something.:)
-
If I ever did go, I would want to go drifting some windy ass roads! I dunno.
Man, I'm still trying to get a hold of some tools! When I took apart my controllers, I saw how small the leds were for the first time! What size are the stock leds?
Anyway, I am off subject, back to cars....I LOVE EM!
-
i thingk they are 0306 or some like that i got NO idea...lol
if you ever come here ill go drifting with you, we have like 3 audi a3's and they are verry good to drift.
like some rally people say: the netherlands is build for drift.
we have the best roads of the whole world, no joke!
