So, our soccer team is going to state. Great, right? WRONG
The entire team is shaving their heads. No skin off their backs, they have short, typical, guy hair. My hair, on the other hand, is long and flowing. It will take over a year to grow back right. What should I do? They're going to assault me at practice with a razor TONIGHT (a friend warned me), and i want to keep my hair, but i don't want to be the only one with long hair.

Call ahead and say I won't come if they are going to do that. Or don't even go to practice. You have a right to safety and if they are going to violate it you shouldn't go. Even if your school calls they can't do :censored: because you are afraid for your safety. Same thing for the game too. If they are going to be :censored: and do that to you then show them that you don't have to go and see how much THEY like it.

So, i just called everyone everyone, and said "screw you go :censored: yourselves". They said that they will pin me down at the next practice or at school. I've contacted the principal, and I'm bringing my paintball gun to practice.

They can't do that. it's harassment and if they do they WILL get suspended. Also bring a recorder and record them saying it (tell them your doing it too :winker:) and FORCE your principle to stop them and if HE doesn't do it then get a lawyer and sue the school for not doing it's job. Also I would notify the coach and try and get him to put a stop to it. btw this is all in the school rules and state laws.

yup , you don't have to do this , your responsibility is only as far as playing well... I can totally relate coz i too have long hair and i wouldn't dare cut them... And this behaviour is just unacceptable.. Contact your coach or someone.

there are at least 3 solutions
1. shave your hair before they shave it for you
2. learn parkour and make fun running
3.bring pepper spray or a painball gun with pepper bullets
so if they do shave it
after they shave it dont fear them. drive that energy on revenge
and besides halloween is coming
it best to teach them not to mess with you

Back in the day i had my hair long long but when it came to work and ppl fight took it straight off. So i mean you may as well get used to having it short.

well it looks pretty clear cut to me, but there are some factors that play into this deal.
First off, are you a junior or a senior? Cuz if ur a senior then you have a right to your hair cuz you served several years on that team. You may have take one or two guys out to prove your point, but you may have a chance. A junior I would say that you are probably going to get ur head shaved.
its tough but I dont think it would be in your best interest to get the "authorities" involved, thats probably not the best social move being you are only in the first half of the year.

bull :censored:. this is a threat, harrasment, attempted assualt (or assault if they DO do it), spreading false rumors, and valger language (pep rally) all in one. This SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED in the united states OR in SCHOOL. Any judge would side with you if you actually took them to court and you will WIN and get a lot of money if they do do this.
Tell the coach and principle that you will sue and that should get them to set things straight. They are equally involved in this as much as the players if they sit down and do nothing.

Socially the best idea would be to shave your head unfortunately. Logically, the best idea would be to tell the authorities, etc. etc. Your choice.

lets face itmost of us including myself are computer guys anyway, which means we dont have that many friends or social groups to begin with, and becoming a snich or a taddeltell is such a small group is only going to shrink it smaller. that would be social suicide. this is about team bonding, are you a team player or not? that is how they are looking at it.
your hair will grow back, but the social scars that could come from being exciled may never go away.

hmmm killok , i'd agree with Matt , i was a total loner in school... I didn't have any friends. Now that i've changed my social behaviour a lot , i'm among the popular kids in college. But those scars of being totally alone for 12 years of schooling really hurt....

Well i was unpopular until highschool because i was that weird antisocial kid, but then i started to come out of my shell and people loved it... i am one of the few people who can say he is invited to all the parties AND built his own computer...

i have a fairly big group of friends and a few best friend, im not the most popular kid in school but im the boss in my class.
im the one who will say something to a teacher whehn i dont agree on things and sometimes say things i schouldnt...lol
just be yourself and it will al be fine.

snitches get stiches... words to live by, my parents who are in their 60's grew up like that and so did I. One of my best buddies in highschool ratted out a pot dealer to get out of a DUI, never hurt me or anyone I hung out with, however I/we havent talked to him in since. Just the way it is.
Not that this pertains to Alentris' situation as wouldnt be snitching to get himself out of trouble or jail, rather he just wants to save his hair. tough call, i never had long hair so everytime I shaved my head with my team it wasnt a big deal, however every championship team i was ever on there was little to nothing we all wouldnt do to show our loyalty and bonding. Hair grows back, friends and teamates dont.

i love the fact im the biggest dude of the team, never got any trouble with that.
although ive had to pay several tickets because i knocked a few people down with waterpolo.
i wanr them twice after that i get mad.

Lol , kinda disagree with u on that , Brendan would look a lil wierd with shaved hair.... but then again , you gotta do what you gotta do. The kind of support + friendship you'll get by doing this will be worth much more than long hair. Trust me on what i'm saying coz even i have long hair and i wouldnt want to cut them...

I also talked to the principal and heres the deal. They shave my hair, they get reported to the authorities, banned from going to state, and suspended for a week. Oh, and my coach said "Man up". Lol plus half the team won't talk to me now. I loled.

next time he says that then tell him to :censored: off. it's your life and HE shouldn't try and push it. You do not need to do this stupid haircut thing. it does NOT help the team at all no matter what they say. If you don't want to you don't have to and nobody should challenge your decision or call you a :censored: for doing so.

actually it does help the team as they see it as a form of bonding and camaraderie and that tends to help a team stick together and work better as a team. i dont see why you didnt take my suggestion and ware a bald hat or wig or whatever its called and make a bit of a joke about it

Honestly shave your head... It's just hair, and I agree with everyone who's said it helps you bond with your team... It's like if we all were to sacrifice something and you sat there going "no way my hair is too precious", then you aren't really part of the team anymore.... And the social status you would lose over this wouldn't be worth it. Being "the loser" sucks ass.

listen. I just wear a hat at state like everyone else (its gonna be below freezing), and i fit right in. There ya go.

I had the hairdresser cut my hair down to about 2.5 inches, but they still say "It's not short enough."

lol it looks weird because you can't see the front. I have a monster cowlick, and it looks sweet. But even at this point, i'm just trying to tell them that hairstyle shouldn't matter if you're on a team. We've all been playing together since about the 3rd grade, and I don't think shaving my head should tear apart an amazing team bond.

i had to do it for varsity when i was a freshman, its not a big deal, your hair will grow back in a couple of months. And by the looks of the pic your hair is THAT long. Just do like your coach said and Man Up.

just shave it. i would have agreed with you if it was longer, the whole team pressure thing is gay, but you already cut it so short it won't really matter now. it's not like people are gonna f :censored:k with u about it if you do it, but if you don't people are gonna be all like wow all the rest of the team shaved their heads except this kid, what a pansy. hair grows back man, don't over think it and just do it.

If your gonna join the navy I would say just go ahead and shave it. But DO NOT show up to navy basic training with a bald head, they will get on u for that, they'll say "Oh, you think you a sailor already?!?!?" and U gonna be on the bad list already. at least the army did that to me. Let it grow for like 3 weeks before u go.
