Title: Replace ms led with rumble motor?
Post by: Ben93 on November 08, 2009, 11:02:54 AM
Hi guys

Is it possible to replace the MS led with a rumble motor so the psp will rumble while files are loading? What's the voltage at the ms led?

Tnx

I should buy one, i know.
But, let me think, if i bridge the resistor => the led gets a lot brighter => 5 (4.9)V is going to the led...
So the only question that's left: will it work?

it would not run well because the current in the leds are very small, also you can burn the led when the motor rumble.

Its better to put a transistor as in the light mods, just check the polarity of the led and wire as if the led was the speaker

I'm not english, what do you mean with "the current"?

I tried a few hours ago, led removed, wired up the motor, does rumble, but very soft. I can't get it harder by bridging the reistor underneath the led, on the other side of the mobo also?
