My DS Phat has a yellow tint (or what i believe to be a yellow tint) in the upper screen. The white areas are a yellow, and all the other colors are messed up as well, but just discolored, not yellowed. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the LCD or ribbon cable. It may be the ribbon cable that goes from the top half to the bottom half because my DS had a broken hinge at one point. Also, maybe I didn't insert the ribbon cables right. Please help!

I thinks it's the ribbon cable, i had the same problem as you, and it wasn't problem of the lcd, I touched the cable a little bit and it works fine.
