ok so my dad bought a 360 for 40$ and i plug it in with my power brick that works with my current 360
and it doesnt do anything
every now and then the fan spins for like a millisecond im not seeing things my older brother saw it spin a little at one point too
this power brick DOES work perfectly fine
luckily my xbox and this xbox are 1 year apart in manufacturing date
so the PSU i have should work on it
mine is 2005
it is a 200 (broken one)
i opened it up to check for burn marks and didnt really see anything
but if some1 really wants i can TRY to get some HD pics of the mobo top and bottom
if it makes a difference there is no hdd and no mem card and the drive is hitachi and i tried to on it without the drive same problem
my older brother said maybe a capacitor blew up or smthn
if i could find out which one he can replace it
any help is appreciated

well you do sound like your kinda screwed. see if there are any bad solder points or see if you can find out if a compactor blew
