Post by: spurgurgle on December 13, 2009, 11:53:11 AM
hi guys today a mate came over and asked if i could fit his xcm case for him....

so i did
(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi639.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fuu114%2Fspurgurgle%2Fxcm%2520improvment%2FIMGP2292.jpg&hash=32dee7b441872d0517f63b41767a88289d0fcca7)

he wasnt to happy when he saw one of my lit controllers.
and thought my lights were better .

asked if i could make his lighting better so with 3 blue 0603's and 2 5mm blue leds...
using a similar method to what i used in my controller lighting tutorial
https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,33937.0.html (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,33937.0.html)

and came up with this.
(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi639.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fuu114%2Fspurgurgle%2Fxcm%2520improvment%2FIMGP2297.jpg&hash=d9a457c9573eed273db6e0a8b681fa4bed7781c5)
with some 0603 leds

then added some trigger lights with the 5mm leds...
and here what the finshed pad looks like.

just my extra lights on.

Thats cool!  Btw, is there anywhere I can buy some translucent / transparent triggers and bumpers without buying the xcm controller shell.  Does anyone sell them?

thanks! Been wanting to put in some clear triggers and such into my controller and lighting them.  Also, i'm working on a couple of mods right now which won't take too long but I can't work on them at all this week.  Hope to get at least one of them done during winter break as I won't be around much then either.

cheers mate.... but the extra leds dont really affect battery life to much..... your leds do go dim in a few hours of contstant play but the battery still has loads of life in it. well enogh to keep the pad going lol

i do advise any1 with led mods to have a umlimited supply of AA batterys or a plug and play kit.
