Title: Sound reactive to a mic??
Post by: PspKicks316 on December 19, 2009, 06:12:48 PM
For the life of me I can't get these leds to be sound reactive to a mic.
Just a regular mic you'd find in a 360 headset or something.

I even tried using an lm386 with it and I still can't get it.

How the hell do you wire an led to be sound reactive to a mic? This is ridiculous.

Prehaps since it is a un-amplified mike imput...

Im guessing you probably need to amplify the mic before you attempt to use it as a imput for the sound reactive leds.
for example:
Using the lm386 on the psp, it was using the speakers as imput since they already have been amplified and a large enough signal.

But I don't really know so meh.

So how would I go about amplifying it?
I know I could use a transistor but I've never used a transistor to amplify before so I'm not sure how to do that. lol
