Title: Nintendo DS Lite Shoulder Buttons (L & R) problem
Post by: ZereoX on December 23, 2009, 11:12:33 AM
Since I got my DS the shoulder buttons has been less and less reactive, now they simply don't work ( 1 on 50 Press). I was wondering if replacement switches would do the work: Link (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13264). If so is it hard to remove the old ones and re-solder the new ones?

Pressing hard doesn't really matter, lite tap or hard push I get the same results (1 in 50 or so).

well did you try pressing the buttons themselves? the plastic caps that you press can slip sometimes, and you can A. wait for teh problem to right itself (if it ever does) or B. crack it open and realign them yourself.  make sure you test out the buttons themselves before you spend any money.
