LEDs are the easiest mod to start with. start there and practice, practice, practice before you move on...
-
leds are the starting however there are diffrent types make sure that your able to solder to leds. 5mm are easy, smd are a little bit harder but not by much just do to there size
-
Start off with a simple led mod like fitting leds to the triggers and move on from there. You could also try the speaker mod or UMD led mod next.

Wow you actually managed to get something off of lockerz?! I'll be interested to see if you actually get the product. As for what mods you should do. I agree with all of the above. led mods are relatively easy and a good introduction into the modding scene. Just make sure you are comfortable with soldering before you begin actually soldering to the psp. Be careful and good luck!

Try adding an extra speaker in the UMD bay. That requires minimal soldering and is pretty easy. LEDs in the shoulder button are also relatively easy but you should practice soldering first.
