Would it be possible to run a 2nd memory stick slot by removing the umd drive, modifying the umd drive ribbon to connect to a memstick reader slot thing, and then modifying m33 firmware to handle the hardware change ( pretty much just by replacing the umd modules in flash with the modules used for reading memstick maybe). Seems a little far fetched to me, but also seems like it could be possible if someone with the proper know-how took a serious stab at it. Then 2 photofast setups could be used theoretically giving a max 128 gb storage, as if thats even necessary

? Short answer= Unless your god, no.

lol ok i wont bother debating that cause you probably have forgotten more than i know about it. thanks

 you don't need to flash any modules or modify any ribbon cables. You can do a photofast CR3100 mod. https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,24584.0.html (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,24584.0.html)

yes, i know about the pf3100 mod, what i was getting at is that i dont use the umd drive at all, infact i dont have one, what i was asking is if it would be possible to use the pf31 from the ms slot, then to also have a ms reader going to the place on the mobo where the umd drive went to and then basically flash ms reader modules in place of the umd reader modules and access that ms from where u would normally launch umd's from in the xmb. what i wanted to do is have the pf3100 as sort of like my psp's internal memory and then have another ms reader to easily insert and remove ms's.

thats impossible unless your god as what jumbo had mentioned earlier

yeah thats why i didnt pursue the idea any further
