Title: Animated background
Post by: Ch4rL13 on January 08, 2010, 01:52:02 PM: Hey guys, this is not really a request, unless someone knows how to make one, but I need a background for my computer but I want it to be animated. Im sure you have seen youtube videos of people showing off their rigs with a sweet background that moves. I have been looking on google for ever with no luck. I just want a background, nothing that needs another program to run it. Also if you can, the psp vista style moving background would be great. (1400x900 resolution)

Let me know what you guys find or where I can find one.

Post by: robin1989 on January 08, 2010, 04:09:56 PM: i only know of been able to do animated backgrounds on windows using an application or on mac by way of making your screensaver your background and it stays on permanantly but you need to leave the sys prefs open for it to work

ok i did some research and found a better way for doing so on a mac

You can use this screensaver (http://s.sudre.free.fr/Software/SaveHollywood.html) to to play QuickTime movies or Flash as screensavers.

And you can use a screensaver as a desktop background using this widget (download) (http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/status/desksaverplus.html), or this application (download) (http://www.dozingcatsoftware.com/SaverLab/readme.html)

Lol, what is that I see in the animated gif folder haha...
Btw doesnt this only work for xp. I have windows 7 ultimate
