You realize the ODD and HDD can't be submerged without being physically protected/dry, right?

the hdd has a clear sealant sprayed over it that wont dissipate in the oil and the odd if u cant see is on top of the tank its the black rectangle on the top... i thought this through dont worry :)

The HDD literally can't be submerged. The oil/water/etc will get into the inside of it and slow it down severely, if not completely shut it down.
Mechanical parts aren't meant to be run in a liquid.
Not sure how that sealant works, but if any gets inside then you're screwed.
The HDD has to be physically protected from the liquid.

And "dissipate" isn't the word you're thinking of lol

disolve is what im looking for sorry i was a lil high at the time... and the sealant is a spray that creats a airlock seal over the entire thing its especially madde for electronics... trust me i tried it on a old comp mobo and hdd b4 my xbox lol

looks like a good start, but the hard drives will not last long even with a sealant on them. They will work, but will slowly die. the DVD-ROM drive cannot be submerged because the laser cannot reflect light correctly or spin the disk to the required speed to read (duh). This is a good solution for an old PC, or original xbox, but I would not recommend doing it to an xbox 360 or high end PC because the oil does get hot. Unless you have a pump cycling the oil around, the oil around the components will heat up VERY quickly and will slowly move around and cause everything to get hot.
