Because of the way the Matrix controller's buttons are laid out it can be a real mess to swap them around. It's recommended to use the Wireless CG (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,34544.0.html) or Wireless CG2 (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,34543.0.html) version of controller if you want to do that kind of thing.
