ive been looking into modding my controller ROL but i didnt want to buy 5 LEDs for 5.99 plus S&H so i found a site called http://www.unique-leds.com/ (http://www.unique-leds.com/) and i bought 0603 Surface Mount Led - Blue- http://www.unique-leds.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=1734 (http://www.unique-leds.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=1734) and 25 0603 Surface Mount Led - Hi. Eff. Red (http://0603 Surface Mount Led - Hi. Eff. Red) for like 11 bucks so thts pretty good for 50 LEDs.............my question is are these LEDs bright and will i need a resistor for them???? PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!

hi mate yes the leds should be bright.. and no if your puting them onto your ROL u wont need a resistor.....

use a soldering iron and heat up the stock LED's before taking them off..

well i kno how to do it n i kno that you dont need a resistor but the head of mycustomxbox.com stated in his videos that other places that you buy these surface mount LEDs from might need resistors and others are mostly dim

thats cause he wants you to buy his leds. that he got from unique led and is now reselling lol....internet people are funny like that sometimes. I would use an led with a higher mcd, but your FW is correct so they will light. I cant tell for the red ones as your link is bad, but they should be ok.

oh ok thnx matt =) i got them and installed them and there briiight as hell so im pleased i will post a vid of what it looks like in the forum!
