Title: shuts off after 2 seconds of S/r is activated

once i turn my s/r  my psp shuts off completely about 2 seconds after its switched on .

now the two problems are that i get are :

1. psp shuts off ~2 secs after switch is on
2. under d-pad gets really hot after


edit: could it be a short on one of my wires connected to the lm386?

sometimes shutting down is also a sign of shortage..
