Ok my old laptop charging port broke and so I went out and go another laptop at bestbuy. I saw this 17.3" gateway with a intel core i3 in it for $600 and I thought that's not a bad deal and then I saw the sticker on it with the multitouch trackpad and I thought SWEET I might be able to hack it and install a hackintosh. I buy it and go home.
When I get home and open the box and turn it all on and mess with the settings I see the option for two freaking finger scrolling! at this point I'm freaking out because I never thought it would be done on a windows pc, My favorite feature of all time of macs is on windows 7 on my laptop I could not believe it. It feels just like the mac version too, no quirks, no problems (after I disabled zoom), it just works. I am so happy right now.
Oh and if anybody wants to know it's a gateway NV79 laptop.

That sounds like a great deal. I never tried 2 finger scrolling though, sounds neat.

agreed

99% of new laptops have multitouch.
Netbooks can't run full HD (1080p) without an external monitor at best.
17.3" with a core i3 is not worth the $600. You should've gotten a better laptop for the price.

Two things regarding full HD playback on a netbook
1. I dont have to convert stuff to watch it on the netbook. It just runs , so i copy over the HD Rip n play
2. Watch it on external monitor

1. Of course not. Nothing will ever need to be converted. Ever. There's always something that plays a given format. You may be able to play 1080p videos, but they're scaled down to fit your resolution which partially distorts them and lowers the quality.
2. Duh. xD
Sorry. I'm not trying to sound like an ass. Honest (this time XD)

Yep. Plus it's more than 2-finger scrolling. On websites you can use 3 fingers to go forward or back. Four fingers down shows all windows open, four fingers up shows the desktop. Oh and one really nice aspect about scrolling in a Mac vs Windows environment is that on a mac you can scroll window content that is not in the selected window. Can't do that on Windows XP or Vista (dunno about 7). It's a super nice feature for laptops where u don't have a huge amount of screen space.

You can scroll stuff that's not in the active window on 7.

Ooooh, nice! Time for me to upgrade to 7 =)

At least, I think you can. I use 7 and I've done it before.
