Title: hard drive upgrade??

i want to upgrade my xbox 360 harddrive from a 60 gb to a 250 gb, what do i need to do this?????

all you need is a 250gb hard drive for 360, if they have them if they dont and your wanting to mod i have no idea lol

u need a westerndigital BEVS drive, the hacked firmware file and flash it to a new HDD. ONLY WESTERN DIGITAL BEVS DRIVES WORK!

i found a 640 gb drive for 89 :)

I think the max limit is a 320 HDD, but the hacked firmware will only make the xbox recognize 250 GB (formatted is abit less)

Like it's been said:

Western Digital BEVS drive is the only kind that will work
Max size is limited by the BEVS drive bought and the size set by the security sector
Security sectors can't be modified to allow a bigger drive

So, if you buy a 320gb drive then the max you can use is 250gb until Microsoft releases a bigger drive.
