Title: UMD door replacement

Whats the correct way on how to replace it. Any tricks that I should know about?

I would check out the psp slim disassembly tutorial. Removing the UMD door is trickier than you would think.

Especially when reinstalling the tension spring.   :fear:

The only thing i hate about the slim is the UMD door, if it was built like the fat it would have been ossum

I should have left it alone I just cracked the new one, So I had to order a new one.

the best way to take the umd door off is to first disassemble your psp. this is because when you take the parts out of the psp, you can see the inside of the umd door. you can push the little hinge things on the door together or the oppsoite way of them going in to their holes. and it pops right off

Yeah that's how I did it, I got it all done and it went smooth. Then I noticed a little bend bend on the top right corner so I decided to bent it back and snap. Now I have another one ordered.

yeah those things are tricky a slight bend the wrong way and snap! your umd door is  :censored:
