Hey guys, My name is Tyler (16) and I am a pretty big game addict. I saw this site a long time ago in a youtube vid when I was searching PSP mods and such and I joined a couple months ago or so and finally decided to post my intro. I must say, whoever owns/started this site is an awesome guy because I love stopping in here and browsing through different threads and seeing mods and :censored:. I have recently thought about getting into modding myself and I was wondering what you guys would suggest to do for a first mod? I am most likely gonna do my first mod on one of my PSP's so which PSP mod would be the easiest? Well if you guys want to know anything else about me or whatever just post it below, nice to meet you all.

welcome to the site monk3y

welcome to the site dude.
and if you want a simple psp mod, my best pick would be the LED trigger mod.
-
Thank you for the suggestion Freek, there are a couple LED tuts in the tutorials forum, correct?
-
your welcome.
and i believe so. but if not you could always just search up some keywords.

if you are starting with psp, do the trigger mod. look at the tut section. but, the xbox controller or console are both easier to mod then the psp. And i would suggest starting there start by changing the controller leds, then light the buttons, by the time you do these you will better understand how the electronic components work, and if you screw up its only a cheap controller not a psp. but its up to you. feel free to ask about something your unsure of.

Thank you lobo, I will be sure to ask them or even you if I come to any problems. But matt, I hav2 psp's that I no longer use for gaming anymore so instead of wasting my time trying to sell them for just about nothing I am just gonna work with modding so if I do :censored: up I'm not too worried about it anyways haha. But thanks for the suggestion.

cool, a tip of advice for modding psp, one key is hiding wires. there are many pinch points and very little space.
here is mine:

Very understandable. The thing I think is going to be hard is when I am reading tuts and such they have these diagrams and such of layouts and I completely do not understand what they mean. Also where would be the best place to get LED's and wires?
-
Hi ! welcome to the site :D
For the layouts and diagrams , we are always there to explain something to you :D Just PM one of us and we can use the shoutbox to talk about it...
For LEDs and Wires you can probably get them at your nearest RadioShack.
-
Alright, that's what I was thinking at but I didn't know if you guys knew any places to get them cheaper and such (een though they are cheap anyways).
-
well there are places online to get em, but i forget the name :P Some one else here will surely hook you up with the sites... Also there is a list somewhere here with links to sites for any resource you might need.
