can some one explain to me the point of this chip if you can use the xbox nand under 7371 for jtag and the switch to the cygnos nand to use for the higher dashfirmware to play on live ?   

just curious cause i was going to install the chip and jtag but then i can save 60.00 bucks just jtaging if the only purpose is to make it easier to flash i can just use or make a cable for that thanks

It's a secondary NAND for your 360. Boot from the cygnos NAND for homebrew xbox 360 games, official xbox 360 NAND to play on live, stock firmware.

ok but i have been told if i update the xbox 360 nand then i lose the jtag ability
but what your saying i can use the cygnos nand with the lower kernel for that ?

You only need to grap the KV CPU key and some other assorted bits for the cygnos to work. After you jtag the xbox, you can update to stock NAND to 8955.

just going to jtag the box I have it has a low kernel and use xbr3 and xex programs really no need for the chip .
