hey guys ive probably spent 5 hours trying to mod my xbox 360 controller to just get basic rapidfire, and have so far been unsuccessful. I have been able to solder a wire to the middle pin on the trigger side, but i am not sure where on the board to solder the other wire to and how to get it to stick to the board without coming off when i try to reassemble the controller. please help me out guys, links and close up pics would be greatly appreciated

Well I assume you're doing the method that uses 2 wires and a button- and if you are I would definitely recommend not doing it- it's outdated and doesn't work on 99% of games. But if you really want to then make sure you're using a matrix controller. Once you determine that, you can use this tutorial-

hey thanks bro, will it work for call of duty?
-
I would not recommend doing that mod at all. I bet it will work like :censored:.
You would be better off getting a rapid fire kit. Comes with 12f683 pic, resistors,
and some wire. But if you want to learn how to program yourself, purchase a 12f683
pic and a jdm programmer off ebay. We have plenty of hex codes on this site for
you to program onto the chip, which will give you all sorts of modes and custom rapid
fire programming.

hey thanks man im new to this stuff so il try it out
i have also been looking at the intensafire mod kit thing will this work well too?
-
yeah, intensafire works. personaly, if you knew electronics id do a 555 timer.
-
instafire is 10 times better than 555, LOL trust me I know. (look who wrote the 555 tut)
-
i am aware sir lol but if hes anything like me, the cheaper the better

Ya, intensafires are pretty awesome. Especially if you dont feel like doing a bunch of soldering. It takes less that 5min to install, and the speeds are fast too.

look at the gameplay tutorial I did in opensource codes. there I teach you how to build a programmer, I provide the software needed, and tell you where to get FRee 12f683 chips. all this for around $20 bucks and you can get 4 sample chips so you can do 4 controllers. this means 5 bucks each. and you get somany features.
