once i did the usb charge mod on my psp and didnt work i took it off and now it doesnt want to power back on

Probably just a short. Just check to see if you soldered anything together on the board on accident. Tip:Instead of using desoldering braid to get it off, striped stranded wire works as a good substitute.  :tup:
