so i think i burned this component circled green! i was soldering a wire to it to do the trigger led mod but it looks burned and now i dont get wifi and the wifi and memory stick leds dont turn on at all, so is there a way to fix this? or where can i buy a replacement!> thanks.! :cry2: :cry2: :cry2: :cry2:

bridge the fuse possibly?sdee if that works
-
thats not a fuse it is a smd resistor. the left side (side you were soldering to is 5v ) I am not sure of the value of that resistor, anyone know???? I dont have a slim.
-
Anyone??? :beg: :beg: :beg: :beg: :beg: :beg: :beg:

I am not sure of the value but you can replace one of those little 0402 fellas with a axial resistor if you find a place to mount it and run wires. Rather add to much resistance than too little at first.
-
whats a axial resistor.. can u explain please... and i can solder a small one back again im just not sure whats it called or where or how to get it.
thanks!
-
What he means by axial resistors are the larger resistors with the color stripes on them.
The larger sized resistors will not fit on the motherboard so wires may needed to be run to replace that tiny 0402.

i got it fixed..idk why is still working if it looks like its half burned already but i was gonna remove and the i kinda added more solder to it and then it worked.!>!>! my wifi still didnt recognize the switch so i just bridged the two legs on the wifi switch and now everything works! thanks.,!

maybe those burn marks were just the Solder flux left over. I'm not sure what could have been wrong with it... possibly a cold solder joint lol.
-
yea i think it needed a little bit more solder. i've opened my psp more than 100 times i forget what i do every time i open it.. lol
