Is it possible to convert a wired controller to wireless? If not, are the other parts the same as the wireless, ie could the trigger mechs and other parts be salvaged?

no you wont be able to make a wired controller wireless....

but you should be able to use things like the trigger pots and analogs off of either pad type... on either pad type...

you can make a wireless to wired :) (charging wire)

That only charges the PnC batter pack, it does not make the Wireless controller work like a Wired one at all.
