Hey guys...

So my brother has been playing FIFA day n night on my psp and now all of a sudden there is something wierd with a few buttons.

The

I think its a software issue... any recommendations / help / suggestions ?

Have you tried re-installing the firmware? it could be an error with the firmware. Also have a look inside. There might be a lose connection somewhere causing this problem.

Yeah.. i will be opening it once i find my screwdriver. And i dont have a pandora , so how do i reinstall teh fw ?

first follow the second thing the apex told you.. its happen on my psp... just open it.. i just open it.. and see if the both flex in d-pad and pobo.. are in the rigth position.. try if its work for you..

change the button strips and it will work you overheated your psp.....the button cable got burned

yeah dude. At least if it doesn't fix the prolem it's one reason crossed off the list of possible causes . Wasu also has a point about changing the d-pad block, but you said that the d-pad works on the xmb but not in game which makes me think it's a firmware issue.

So i just ran keycleaner and dumped the keys and it started working :P

FW issue...

i have had the same problem.you must change the lower button strip.star,select,home etc

I agree, try changing out the button fPCB and see if that fixes the problem.

Hey... sorry if i didnt say but mine is a psp 1000. that cable is suitable for the 1000 as well as it says 2000.... ???
