Title: PSP 1000 Speaker Mod?? Changing umd by speaker
Post by: rafaliyo86 on July 03, 2010, 10:51:43 AM
Hi guys

Well, I am doing a mod for my psp in another post but i am having problems with umd chaser and i have a speaker broken. Today i have had an idea. Like i have to remove the umd and my speaker doesnt work. Shall i put a bigger speaker in the place where goes umd?

I have seen here a speaker mod for psp 2000 but i dont know if it would be the same for psp 100. Anybody could say me wich speaker would work fine  and would have the correct size to work with umd door close? and where goes the conections? I think i have to replace the wires from original speaker and soldering it to new speaker its correct?

Thanks in advance

so was up rafa  so u want to try a speaker mod? its not a problem putting a speaker on back you can put a size all the way to 50mm but you dont want something 2 big i usually use a 29mm 8-ohm speaker u can buy it at radioshack and it works fine i just wish i could put just a little more power but its loud enough, so im not that great on speaker modding so this is all i can say for now?   :hifive: http://cgi.ebay.com/40mm-1-5-speaker-32ohm-32-ohm-0-25W-external-magnet-/220597691912?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item335ca5a608 (http://cgi.ebay.com/40mm-1-5-speaker-32ohm-32-ohm-0-25W-external-magnet-/220597691912?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item335ca5a608) try this speaker here is a very good size and the magnet is not that big.
