My New Case Mod

So What I have decided to do is Put a Large Monster logo in the center of the xbox and add LED's so They light up. Thanks to Mogler for making a topic similar to this and making me feel un-organized,Lazy,Stupid and straight up making me re-do my thread (It Looks Much Better Now). :dribble:

are you gonna use green plexi glass?
it would look good even when the lights are off.

yeah i got an idea from a friend to cut a circle to show the game under the plexiglass and then in the middle 9with the metal i cut off) to cut it into a monster logo and glue it ontop of the plexiglass.

I say you cut a nice large window and smooth it up real nice, and then the plastic left off the case after the cut you sketch up your logo on it and cut it out of that. Then once you cut it out you spray paint it whatever color you want, different from the case that is. Plus if there is a certain flavor of monster you like in particular then color the same as the cans flavor and leave a little area at the bottom of the window enough for you to put some stickers or something down to write out the flavor. IDK just giving you ideas on how I would do it :P

yeah its a good idea its just you loose the lighting of in the logo that would probably just add that bit of flavour to the detail i guess you could say and cutting out the logo just adds that kind of... stealthyness with the solid black coat of paint and green lights. I ave a spare case and i might do that in my spare time just to see how it looks as having it in the middle means i can give the paint of the logo great detail and make it look really sick.

so i guess im trying to say: Loose sweet paint job but have lights or have no lights and have a sweet paint job.

or would it work to have the window then stick leds in the shape of the logo? or have green plexiglass as the shape over the clear one? and leds?

k so i decided and cut this out! It took a long time but i got it done. I have clear plexiglass but im looking for green plexiglass and leds. once i get those im gunna put it all together

haha thanks, Just an update tho: I ordered 50 green leds from ebay that should be coming in soon and a talismoon whisper fan thats also green. I Am gunna post a complete pic once i get the parts they should be in my monday or tuesday  hopefully =)

maybe you should sand away the remaining part of the XBOX 360 logo away. would look alot better without the incomplete name on the side. just a thought though, looks good.

Is there any like plaster type mixtures that you can slap on the plastic that will stick and act as a plastic substitute?

Haha yea, and if I sand it down then I have to sand it all down and doing all that sandin will suck so if there is a subsitute that would be awsome otherwise I think I'll sand it a little bit so it's even-er and you can't see the logo as well

realized that a couple days ago when I decided to figure out how I was going to paint it but I don't want to wait another couple weeks for red LEDs so I guess I'll do that in the future as I'm selling this xbox most probably

Haha yea I just got tired of waiting so I decide to start painting today as my LEDs came in, the sun has gone down so I'm just making stencils right now and I'll do second coat tomorro and maybe third.

just a thought please correct me if this will not work. instead of putting led's behind the plexi glass could you put a GREEN OLED pannel behind the Monster Logo? it would be very vibrant and i personally think that it would look nicer. but it would'nt let you see through the window. and same with the BLUE illuminated areas... just an idea. im aware that the OLED pannels are VERY flexible and are able to be cut into any design you wish... let me know your opinions. thanks!

quite interesting idea but i personally like seeing the insides of my machine so unless its a small cut out like 10 small skulls circling a big one then i would thing about it but otherwise its personal choice..

SORRY for taking so long to get back to work i have been in the middle of a very long busy family stuff but hopefully starting in a couple days i can get my second coat on...

I printed the logo out on paper to about how big I wanted it, then I outlined it with pencil and cut it out with a dremel. That's a hole btw which I put a red shirt under.

Well its been over 200 days since i last touched my xbox and last night i decided I finally wanted to finish it. Odd-ly enough I  have everything done except for the three led lights i have to put in, everything else is done and the paint is drying. All this in one day and for 200 days i couldnt pull 1 of them out??? im crazy... I will post pictures tomorrow :)

the fan at the back sucks and the ones i placed right over the heat sinks, i have no idea if they blow or suck but i used XCM fans (talismoon and v2)
