This is a WIP. Went to radioshack to pick up some white LEDs for this but then i saw some 7-color changing ones and thought why not try them out, i think it look pretty bad :censored: Here is a video of me testing it out on the Y button. Stupid radioshack only had 2 in stock so ill be finishing tomorrow and posting another video of it all put together. What do yall think of it?

good lol i would break the controller within the first 5min if i didnt have that button lol. Good Job hope to see it when the controller is complete.

Look good man, can't wait to see all 4 buttons lit up.
-
I do love it it's just that I think it would look so much better with clear buttons. Because you can't see all the colours
-
Thats looking good, I had modded a controller by installing that same 7-color LED in the Xbox guide button and it looks sweet.
-
what did you do to make it chane modes and how did you wired your led?
-
well radioshack got lazy and didnt had any instructions so i had to read some and guess some until i got it to work. the way you get it to change modes is by adding a tact button that between the two outside pins which are both negative (one is dedicated negative which is the one with the 90 degree bend, the other is a control has the 45 degree angle) the center pin is a positive.when you first add power to it will go into a 10 sec demo mode which goes through the modes. then you press the tact again and it will go to a solid color then press the button again and it will turn off and repeat. I noticed when i attached it to my mobo that it wouldnt allow me to change modes untili put the negs on 2 different ground points.

Just finished working on my controller and got it all working and awesomeness!! Pain in my :censored: to remember which neg wire goes to the control and so on haha :w00t:
-
Wohh man!! this looks great!!!
-
Looks amazing, only thing that I think would have made it better is if they were synced together and not like flashing all randomly, that's just my opinion though ^_^
-
I agree with ya but this is the first time working with there LEDs and i just kinda slapped it all together last night then quit since i was tired as hell!! :faint: so later today im going to get back on it and see if there is a way to get them to go all together.
