Title: led swap problem
Post by: sakobatoneko on August 12, 2010, 02:07:03 PM
I finished doing the led swap and the leds are soldered correctly, but when i turn it on the controller wont light up. When i plug it in using the charging cable they light up. why is that?

Maybe they need a higher voltage than the controller puts out.  The charger makes it put out .5v higher than usual.

i converted one of my controllers to a lithium ion battery with a slightly higher voltage.

it's not exactly a tut but i give a good idea of how i did it. you would just have to sacrifice a plug and play battery pack to make it. it was pretty easy after i figured it out.

Use the power on these pics to see if they work. The top picture is the one that is hooked up to the mic power
