We've just made the Xbox 360 Wireless controller even better with a brand new version that includes a transforming D-pad. The engineers have come up with an ingenious solution with a d-pad that can go from a plus to a disc with the twist of the wrist.
In addition to the new d-pad, the matte silver controller also features concave analog sticks and gray A,B,X,Y buttons for added style. The controller will only be available with the new Play & Charge Kit that will launch on November 9th for US $64.99.

I wish u had the option just to take off the D-Pad and replace it with another, twisting it doesn't make it look raised enough.

Pretty kool, I think they should have made the buttons all the same color of gray/silver and kept the ABXY colored if you guys understand what I meant by that. D-pad never really bothered me before but I guess it prolly feels a bit better. Overall pretty nice update.

except that the price is the same >.> it comes with the battery and cable, go to a store that sells that pack and you will see quite clearly that its the same price.

I have to agree. Make some modifications and sell it for more!! Is making the D-pad adjustable really going to make a difference? Unless it was a real chrome d-pad made of metal. That would be neat.

sweet... im thinking of gettin a play n charge kit anyway so ill get 1 with that...
if i dont get a play and charge kit im sure there will be somebody selling those buttons and D-PADS seperately online somewhere.

why the hell is the X button almost black and the rest silver/white? the dpad thing is kool but the term transforming is misleading i guess? i expected the thing to accually transform *autobots roll out!*

wow u twist it and the sides raise omfg!!! they coulda done a lil more research into wut the gamers want and come up with something a lil better...like do away with the concave analog stix and go with dome top and textured like ps. the color is nice though the matte silver with black accents. eitherway i wanna get my paws on 1 add flex code, dome lights for rf indication, and corrisponding color leds for abyx buttons

***********yes i know old topic but i wanted to put my 2 cents***** i bought one of these today and i gotta admit with the dpad transformed it feels quite nice i never reall understood why microsoft goes black trigers and :censored: but never black start and select also the analogs have a different feel to em i paid 79.09
